Rev. Kevin Davis

Kevin Davis is our new pastor! He began his role as pastor of New Gilead in January of 2025. Kevin was raised in Concord and Kannapolis and is excited to serve the community that he deeply loves. He and his wife, Lisa, met at seminary, where they both graduated with Master of Divinity degrees. They married in May of 2021 and have two precious daughters. Lisa is a pediatric chaplain with Hands of Hope and is currently in the ordination process with our denomination, ECO.

Pastor Kevin was ordained at New Gilead on March 2nd, 2025 by the North Carolina Presbytery of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. He is passionate about the incredible love and mercy of God, touching our hearts and minds, uniting us to our glorious Savior, Jesus Christ. He prays that the Holy Spirit bears fruit in our lives, in our church, and in our community. After earning his B.A. in Religious Studies at UNC Charlotte, Kevin pursued graduate studies in theology, with an M.Th. from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and an M.Div. from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Charlotte.

In a world where people just want to feel loved, no one loves on our people better than Rev. Bolick. As a retired Pastor of New Gilead from the late 80’s - early 90’s, his knowledge of our families is second to none.

We thank Reverend Bolick for his incredible service to New Gilead during our interim period without a pastor. We applaud his decades of ordained ministry as he enters full retirement.

Carolyn Cline - Choir Director

Carolyn stepped into a role when we went without a choir director, and 5 years later we are thrilled to still have her. Her commitment to our choir and to the worship service at New Gilead is second to none. She is always upbeat, directs our choir with joy, and helps where she can. . If you would like to join our choir and sing on Sunday mornings, please reach out to Carolyn so that she can get you information!

Melanie Misenheimer - Organist

Melanie is the star musician that keeps our worship services moving forward. She plays both piano and organ at New Gilead for worship services and special services alike. Although a classically trained Oboist, don’t sleep on her piano/organ playing. We are so happy to have Melanie leading us in worship each week!

Doug Harward - Maintenance

Mr. Fixit! Doug either knows how to fix it or who to call to get it fixed fast. He handles all aspects of the New Gilead building including maintenance, cleaning, and facility management. If you need something done and see Doug in the building, he is ready to jump into action. We love coming into a clean and well cared for building and Doug’s the one we have to thank for that!
